Since 1950, Union Officine Meccaniche S.p.A., headquartered in San Vittore Olona (Milan, Italy), has been a world leader in the design and manufacture of extrusion lines for rigid sheets, foamed products, composite panels, and thermoforming applications.

TECOM — the power of quality in blown film extrusion
Founded in 1963, TECOM joined the Union Group in 2019, enriching its portfolio with single- and multi-layer blown film lines ranging from 1 to 5 layers. TECOM’s product range is engineered for processing polyolefins, compostable biopolymers, and recycled materials, aligning with today’s circular economy and sustainability goals.
Their “GO-BIO” initiative underlines a deep commitment to eco-sustainable extrusion solutions and energy-efficient designs, making TECOM a leader in the flexible film sector.
Collaboration at K-Show 2025
During the K-Show 2025 in Düsseldorf, GMCEO Engineering Services CEO Anton Carstens spent time with colleagues at the Union Group booth, strengthening the partnership and discussing ongoing projects across Southern Africa.
One of the highlights of the stand was the impressive TECOM 3-layer blown film extrusion set with film-blowing die, proudly displayed as part of Union’s latest advancements in multi-layer film production technology.
Anton took the opportunity to capture a photo in front of the line — a symbol of the strong and growing collaboration between Union Group and GMCEO Engineering Services.
