High-Speed Hot Air Ovens
Overview and Function:
- Designed for the continuous vulcanization of rubber profiles using forced hot air.
- Ensures uniform, high efficiency curing by circulating heated air at controlled speeds and temperatures.
- Particularly effective for extruded rubber products requiring precise surface and through-thickness vulcanization.
Operating Principle:
- Dual-Chamber Configuration:
- The oven consists of two concentric air chambers, each serving a specific function:
- Outer Chamber – Preheating Tunnel:
- Hot air circulates at low speed.
- Functions as a preheating zone where the incoming air is gradually brought to the desired temperature.
- Helps maintain a stable thermal environment and reduces thermal shocks to the profile.
- Inner Chamber – Vulcanization Tunnel:
- Hot air circulates at high speed, creating intense thermal convection.
- This is where the actual vulcanization of the rubber profile takes place.
- The high-speed airflow ensures uniform temperature distribution around the profile for consistent curing.
- Outer Chamber – Preheating Tunnel:
- The oven consists of two concentric air chambers, each serving a specific function:
- Recirculation System:
- Air is continuously recirculated between the two chambers to maximize thermal efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Adjustability & Control:
- Temperature Control:
- Air temperature is fully adjustable to meet specific curing requirements of different rubber compounds.
- Air Speed Control:
- Airflow velocity is also adjustable, allowing fine-tuning of the vulcanization process.
- Ensures flexibility for processing various profile geometries and wall thicknesses.
- Advanced Automation (Optional):
- Can be equipped with digital control systems for monitoring and managing key process parameters such as:
- Tunnel temperature
- Air velocity
- Profile conveyor speed
- Energy usage
- Can be equipped with digital control systems for monitoring and managing key process parameters such as:
